Chat Interface Overview Chats is your unified inbox for every connected channel — WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram, Messenger, chat widget, and custom channels. Instead of switching between different apps and platforms, you manage all your conversations in one place, in a three-column layout: your chat list, the open conversation, and the contact's full record, all visible at once on desktop. How to get there: In the sidebar, under the Engage group, click Chats . (On a phone the menu is hidden — tap the menu icon ☰ in the top corner first, then tap Chats .) A number next to the page title shows how many chats currently have unread messages. The three-column Chats layout: filters and chat list on the left, the open conversation in the middle, contact details on the right. Desktop Layout On desktop, Chats is divided into three panels: Left Panel: Chat List The left panel shows all your active conversations, most recent activity first. Here's what you'll find: Search bar — Search by contact name, phone number, email, or the latest message. It searches your whole inbox, not just what's loaded on screen, so there's no need to scroll or load more first. Sound icon — A speaker icon at the top of the list turns the new-message chime on or off for this device. Tap to mute, tap again to turn it back on. Bulk-select icon — A checkbox icon switches the list into bulk-select mode so you can act on several chats at once (see "Bulk Inbox Actions" below). New chat (+) — Start a new conversation with
