Facebook Messenger Automate your Facebook Page's Messenger conversations with the platform. Receive messages in a unified inbox, respond with an AI Agent, and monitor post comments for engagement opportunities. Prerequisites Before connecting Facebook Messenger to the platform, make sure you have: A Facebook Page for your business A Meta Business account (business.facebook.com) with admin access to the Page Admin or editor access to the Facebook Page 📝 Note: Personal Facebook profiles cannot be connected — only Facebook Pages are supported. Before You Connect: Connection Gotcha Turn off any native automated greeting or "Away message" Meta lets you set inside your Facebook Page's Inbox settings before connecting the channel. Meta lets only one app "own" automated messaging on a given Page at a time, and Meta's own native greetings outrank third-party apps. If you leave the native greeting on, AI replies will be blocked or arrive after Meta's canned greeting reaches the contact first. To disable it, open your Facebook Page, go to Inbox > Automations (or Meta Business Suite > Inbox > Automated responses ), and turn off any active Instant reply , Away message , or Greeting automation. Once the channel is connected, your AI Agent will handle all automated responses for you. Connecting Messenger to the App Facebook Messenger uses the same connection process as Instagram. If you have already connected your Instagram account, Messenger may already be available. In the left
